Construction begins at Stroudwater Commons, expanding affordable homeownership in Portland

Portland’s first-time buyers finally have homes built for them. Stroudwater Commons opened sales this month — a 130-unit community off Congress Street where prices start at $241,153 for income-restricted units (80% AMI), $335,000 at market rate, and top out at $449,999 for market-rate three-bedrooms.
